From 1 July 2026, every real estate agency in Australia is legally required to comply with new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws.

 

The good news?

 

We've spent months preparing our systems, processes and documentation so the experience for our clients is as straightforward and hassle-free as possible.

 

If you're buying or selling property, don't be surprised if we ask you for a little more information than you may have provided in the past.

This may include:

• Photo identification

• Confirmation of your residential address

• Date of birth

• Occupation

• And, where required by law, a few additional questions.

 

These aren't ASTARIS requirements, they're Australian legal requirements for every real estate agency.

Your information will always be handled securely, treated confidentially, and used only to meet our legal obligations.
